I’m still working on sculptting te helmet, but I’m making quick progress! I plan on having it fully roughed out by tomorrow.
Today I’ve started work on the spartan helmet portion of the Maya Lessons. I’ve already placed the reference images in my workspace, so I’m beginning on sculpting the model. I’m following the instructions in order to roughly block out the shape.

In this, I made a thaumagram. I tried to make a chick popping out of an egg, and it went okay. I’m bad at spinning it though, so it doesn’t show up well on camera.
In this project I started practicing my animation skills by making something simple on Brush Ninja. I tried to utalize the principals that I still remember, and I had a lot of fun making this.
I’m nearly through all of the videos. I believe next week I’ll truly be able to start on the spartan helmet. I’ve been listening and learning about how Maya works.
I’m still working through the videos. I’ve gotten up to video 42. I’m mostly just watching and following along when necessary.
I’m still trying to get through the tutorial videos. I’m at number 25, and this was me following along, testing the different modeling tools that will be used.
I’ve chosen to do Maya. Currently, I’m following the video tutorials. I’m up to video 13, and once I get to the portion where I have to create, I will. After I get through all the videos then I can move onto the projects such as the spiderman one. Then when those are done, I’ll be able to model my own things.
The videos so far have taught me about the basic interface of Maya, and I’m doing my best to follow along.
